Paragraph over Belgium:
Based on the statistics of Belgium, I can conclude that Belgium is in stage 4 of the Demographic Transition Model, but possibly about to switch over to stage 5. Its birth rate, and death rate is low, but the death rate hasn't quite crossed over it yet. This is because of the the good health care they are receiving , and the encouragement of family planning. The rate of natural increase fits stage 4's characteristic, because right now Belgium's increase rate is 0.2%, and not in the negatives. Though the life expectancy rate, and fertility rate fits into the stage 5 category, because they are expecting that they will live to be 80 years on average, and the fertility rate is below 2%. The thing that distinguishes the 2 stages are the population pyramids. The 2010 population pyramid resembles the stage 4 one the most, but as time goes on, that will change as shown in 2025-2050 population pyramids.
