Rank-Size Rule... Valid or Invalid?
The rank-size rule is invalid for Cameroon. There is too much of a difference between the estimate and actual. Even in the second largest city, Douala, there is a 1,000,000 difference in favor of the actual, and then the numbers just fall to the 300,000s right after that. This difference also shows a non-proportionality between the cities. From this information, I can conclude that Cameroon is not a good country to model the rank-size rule.
